Last activities of school year

May 18th, 2009 . by Mrs. Nightengale

I can’t believe how fast this school year has passed.  I have enjoyed your wonderful children, and will miss them as they move on to new horizons.  There are a few things to remember in these last few days.

This Thursday, May 21st, we will have a summer birthday pizza party and practice for the graduation program.  The morning class will attend class with the afternoon class from 12:00 - 3:00.  Please remember to send in $2.00 for the pizza.  We will also be sharing some of our pizza with Mrs. Ward’s 5th grade class.  We thank them for all their help this year in cleaning out the animal cages.

On Friday, May 22, we will have our disaster party.  If you provided an emergency packet, you might want to check itbefore Friday.  Not everyone participated in this, so I will have the children share food.  This will teach them that in times of disaster not everyone is prepared so we must help each other.

On Wednesday, May 27th we will have graduation.  Please have your child here by 8:00AM.  Graduation begins promptly  at 8:30 AM.  We will not be able to wait for anyone who is late because some parents need to return to work.  I have loaned out a number of costumes.  Please bring your child’s uniform to change into after the graduation if you have borrowed a costume so it can be returned that day.  Please remember to bring water or cookies or napkins for the graduation.  Thanks for all you do and have done.  May you and your families always be blessed.

Our kindergarten classes have a small garden already prepared for planting.  By Friday, we need you to bring in some small watering cans, and other small garden tools.  Please put your name on all items.  Thanks so much for your help.

We also need donations for food and crickets for our animals.  We will be getting another bearded dragon from Jace in our afternoon class.  I will make a can so you can donate if you can.  It would be helpful if everyone could donate a couple of dollars to the fund.  Thanks

Renaissance Festival

October 1st, 2008 . by Mrs. Nightengale

On Friday, November 14th we will have a festival specifically designed to help our individual classes make money so that we can purchase items we need for our classes.  I have a number of things I would like to purchase for our kindergarten to use.

We will make money two ways.  We will have Baldy’s Store, and we will auction off baskets.  We need stuffed animals, games, books, puzzles and baby furniture for the store.  All items can be used or new.  For the auction we need any slightly used or new ANYTHING!  We will create baskets using items that are donated.  If we need anything to add to a basket, we will let you know.  Any service you can donate, or item from your employment will be welcomed.  Examples: Decorate a cake for a special ocassion.  Give a lesson on how to make some wonderful dish or ethic food like tortillas. Teach how to do something on the computer.  Give a yard service.  Alter school uniforms etc.

Please begin to bring in items right away.  I would like to have the baskets completed a week before the festival if at all possible.

Thank you so much for your help!
